Ball Ballin' Preview: A New Day, A Better Way

Nice title, eh? Wondering what it's about? Well, it's just that I realized there are eleven games for today (whew!), and for a man with a day job (more like, for a man doing this thing while at work), and for a man who recently installed NBA2K11 on his laptop, this is too much. So I decided to do the previews a little differently.

The Watcha-Balls (The I-could-go-to-work-late-to-catch-these-games games)

Los Angeles Lakers at New Orleans Hornets
Lakers a-reelin. The just-as-a-reelin' Hornets could be just what they need to end this slump. Also, "ey you guuuuys!"

Miami Heat at Houston Rockets
They're the Miami Heat. That's reason enough. No? Well, the Rockets are on the upside recently, so this should be a nice game. And Yao's on the trading block. That's gotta be a really big block.

Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Clippers
Blake frickin Griffin (hey! that could catch on!). If being the Miami Heat isn't a given for a game to be a must-watch, then having Blake Griffin playing has got to do the trick. If not? Then, I dunno, go watch Jersey Shore or some'in.

The Tolera-Balls (The At-least-there's-one-good-team-on-it games)

Golden State Warriors at Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks are finally healthy. No more excuse for them if ever they fall flat for the rest of the season. If ever they do, well, I guess they really are just not that good a team.

Boston Celtics at Detroit Pistons
Detroit has actually quietly improved over the past few games. Let's see how far they can go with the NBA sequoia in Boston. (I don't really know trees. Is that a good enough analogy?)

New Jersey Nets at Oklahoma City Thunder
Durant got derailed the last time against Dallas. Not looking so well against the next foe in the Machine!

Denver Nuggets at Minnesota Timberwolves
Melo could be back (That sentence sends shivers down the Spines of the Denver locals).

The Forgetta-Balls (The Oh-look-some-teams-are-playing games)

Philadelphia 76ers at Phoenix Suns
I feel sorry that I put Phoenix amongst these ranks, but there really isn't much in this game. Well, there's let's-see-if-Gortat-gets-more-minutes at least.

Indiana Pacers at Washington Wizards
I wonder if John Wall can teach the Pacers how to Dougie? Imagine... Josh McRoberts, Mike Dunleavy, Tyler Hansbrough, Jeff Foster... Throw in Larry Bird in there and we've got a real show!

Cleveland Cavaliers at Charlotte Bobcats
The Cavs can't score over a hundred, and the Bobcats, well, they can't score. Silas proves promising in his first game with Charlotte though. Let's see how fast he can make this struggling team.

Memphis Grizzlies at Sacramento Kings
Really young teams. Memphis even has a player named Young. You know what they say about them youngins. Well, no, I actually don't know what they say about them youngins.
